G.O. at the Halfe Moone Brewhouse
BW 312, Norweb 7061.
Nearly very fine with some surface dirt on the obv.
The Half Moon Brewhouse was situated in Half Moon Alley, on the western side of Bishopsgate (now lost beneath Liverpool Street Station). A half moon was (amongst other things) the symbol used for a sixpence when a drinker's consumption was being chalked up on the wall during his visit.
